BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting with generating new business, cultivating strong client relationships, and helping to bring our innovative event concepts to a broader market.

What You’ll Do

  • Business Development and Sales Support
  • Assist in developing and executing strategies to expand Evntiv’s client base.
  • Help identify and research new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Work to cultivate and nurture relationships with key contacts to drive new business.
  • Assist in creating persuasive proposals and presentations for potential clients.
  • Support the sales pipeline by tracking leads, managing client data, and reporting on progress.
  • Client & Strategic Collaboration
  • Work with clients to understand their event goals and help guide them through the planning process.
  • Collaborate with internal creative and production teams to develop innovative event concepts.
  • Help write and design proposals that clearly communicate event details, themes and value.
  • Support the presentation of event strategies to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in clients.

Operational & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting contracts and managing project documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to event execution.
  • Assist in researching industry trends and competitive insights to inform our sales approach.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

St. Louis, Missouri-based EVNTIV, an innovative event planning and entertainment agency is looking for an industry leader with 4+ years experience in planning and executing events, meetings and entertainment programs.

The Senior Event Project Manager manages the top 10% of projects for the company maintaining relationships with key clients. This position requires working with top organizations to identify core mission objectives for the event they wish to host, create an event strategy based on those objectives and lead a team to execute the event. A high level of client service is required for this position.

Strategy / Creative

  • Lead a client through process to determine objectives
  • Develop event proposal based on objectives
  • Create event themes that speak to client objectives
  • Create and assemble visual elements that support theme
  • Write and illustrate proposals that communicate strategy and theme
  • Pitch proposal live for audiences of 6 to 30 people

Duties

  • Assist Senior Team in sales process
  • Point of contact for clients
  • Manage day-to-day needs for many on-going projects
  • Draft, edit and deliver proposals to clients
  • Draft, update and send contracts and invoices
  • Create and distribute schedules
  • Draft accurate profit & loss reports
  • Venue research, contracting and negotiation
  • Caterer selection, contracting and negotiation
  • Source pricing and place orders for rentals (tables, chairs, glasses, etc.)
  • Source pricing and place orders for décor items (floral, linen, decorations, etc.)
  • Create, update and maintain budgets
  • Liaison with accounting department on all project billings
  • Performer, speaker and celebrity research
  • General research for proposals
  • On-site working at event

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related experience in the event planning or entertainment industry and/or any equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet).
  • Experience with CAD programs or Microsoft Visio.
  • Must be very detail-oriented, possessing exceptional organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to work both independently and manage a team of professionals.
  • Must have ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment, competently handling demanding deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communications (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret general business contracts, as well as proficiently write reports, and other business correspondence.
  • Resourcefulness—Applicant must possess innovative problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in budgetary management skills requiring participation in budget meetings and being able to discuss and communicate changes that impact the bottom line for the client and employer.
  • Must be able to excel without constant supervision
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and positive attitude a must!
  • Must be able to pass a high-level background check

 

This is a full time position. Salary + Benefits. Candidate will be working in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Some travel will be required. Nights and weekends required.
