Washington University in St. Louis’ Commencement is a celebrated academic tradition held each spring on the Danforth Campus, typically at Francis Olympic Field.
The ceremony brings together graduates, faculty, family, and friends for a formal processional, remarks from university leaders and distinguished speakers, the conferral of academic and honorary degrees, and a recessional to mark the completion of students’ academic journeys.
After the ceremony, the campus turns into Festival, where graduates and their families are invited to partake in food trucks, photo ops, and fun.
