Arch Grants, the St. Louis nonprofit that awards $50,000 equity-free grant to startups, on Friday announced the 20 companies included in its latest cohort. Half the 20 companies are based in the St. Louis region. One international firm is a member of the cohort. As part of the Arch Grants award, each of the companies will commit to operating their business from St. Louis for at least one year.
Arch Grants, which launched in 2012, has given more than $8 million to over 150 startups. Portfolio companies have raised $239 million in follow-on capital and created 1,800-plus jobs, according to the organization.
