Good vibes and big smiles indeed! Washington University in St. Louis welcomed the Class of 2028 with an energy-filled Convocation ceremony and after-party. Held in Brookings Quad, the event included the full academic welcome, with the Chancellor, Provost, and university leaders joining students for this official launch of their WashU journey. The celebration didn’t stop there; after the ceremony, an after-party on the East End campus energized students even more with music, dancing, and a lively campus concert designed to create a memorable introduction to the WashU community. The entire experience is meant to set an uplifting tone for the new class as they embark on their college years, while families were encouraged to tune in via livestream to cheer on their students from afar. This convocation is part of WashU’s long-standing Bear Beginnings program, welcoming students with a host of activities to help them adjust to campus life, bond with classmates, and immerse themselves in the campus culture
